An unusual combination of forest greens, yellow and rich russet red feature in this early 1960s rose print cocktail dress. Both the pencil skirt and the trim of the square neckline are made from a cotton blend velvet which is contrasted with a fitted satin bodice. The spaghetti straps are made from the same satin and the dress has a bow on the front which consolidates the neat lines of the design. Fastening to the rear with the original metal zip and fully lined in a black acetate. The skirt additionally has some stiffened tulle on the underside for shaping.
